Tsitsos Stylianos

Stelios Tsitsos was born in Karyotissa, Pella, Greece. He was awarded the B.Eng Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering  from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, in 1989, the M.Sc Degree in Telecommunications and Digital Electronics from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, (UMIST), U.K., in 1991, and the Ph.D Degree in Microwave Telecommunications Engineering from UMIST, U.K., in 1994. From Oct. 1996 to Mar. 1999, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at UMIST, where he conducted research on microwave mobile communication filters for TDK Corporation, Japan. The research findings were applied to the development of industrial electronic devices produced by TDK Corporation, Japan.
From Jul. 1999 to Apr. 2002, he worked as a Senior Telecommu-nications Engineer for the Greek Telecommunications Organisation. Since 2002 he has been working as a Lecturer, Senior lecturer, Reader, and Professor in the Department of Information, Computer, and Telecommunications Engineering in the International Hellenic University (IHU), Serres, Greece. He was Head of the Department from 2006 to 2010.
Prof. Tsitsos is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE, USA), the Applied Computational Electromagnetic Society (ACES, USA) and the Automated RF and Microwave Measurements Society (ARMMS, UK).
